During the month of December, the San Diego Miramar Lions Club led the annual project to remember our fallen men and women at Miramar National Cemetery partnering with Wreaths Across America. During a cool, crisp Saturday morning, the PRIDE along with help from five other lions clubs, arrived at the cemetery and joined hundreds of volunteers from several organizations to remember our fallen.  Other local lion clubs included SD Forever, SD TFC, SD United, and the Spring Valley Lions Club along with our neighbors, family, and friends.   We were all supported by the District 4L6 District Governor, Lion Jay Ruiz, Jr., who came out to lend his support to his lions across the various clubs. Thank you District Governor for your dedication to our fallen military and this time honored, annual tradition.

There were long lines of cars waiting to enter the cemetery to offer their help and support demonstrating the love and solidarity of our community for these fallen first responders who kept our Nation safe.  Uniformed and civilian volunteers covered the cemetery for approximately 1.5 hours each and briefly stopped at each of the headstones, placing a holiday wreath, for approximately 500 members of our fallen military. We remember you, your service, and your contributions to our great Country…
