When a group of people come together, brain-storm together, collaborate together, and then roll up their sleeves to take action together, it’s incredible for everyone who is involved. That what it means to be a part of a Lion club, and there are approximately 47,000 clubs around the world. The motto of Lions Clubs International is “We Serve,” and Lions live this motto with enthusiasm and big hearts full of giving.

Being a Lion is also about leading by example, and every Lion is a leader. Each Lion adds unique skills, capability, and personal time to every project we contribute to on a local and global scale. It’s how compassionate and caring men and women volunteer together making an impact in the communities and world we live in. Through these efforts, Lions build lifelong relationships through their kindness and hearts filled with generosity for others.

The local San Diego Miramar Lions Club (SDMLC), is a non-profit local organization {under the umbrella of Lions Club International (LCI), a global organization}. Our specific chapter based out of San Diego, is dedicated to bettering the quality of life for the handicapped, the poor, the sick, youth, the aged, disaster relief, our communities, citizens, and those in need around the world. In 2018-2019, Lions expanded our humanitarian focus areas to also include vision, diabetes, childhood cancer, the environment, and hunger. We complete a number of projects each year to help with these causes by coming together and volunteering as needed. We are all working hard to assist communities and its citizens around the world.

Additional information about Lions can be found on the LCI website, and more about our local San Diego club, can be found right here.
