The San Diego Miramar Lions Club is a chapter of Lions Clubs International — the world's largest service organization — dedicated to vision care, veterans, and our local community since 2019.
The San Diego Miramar Lions Club (SDMLC) — also known as the PRIDE — is a vibrant chapter of Lions Clubs International serving the Mira Mesa community and greater San Diego area.
We are part of District 4L6, covering San Diego and Imperial Counties. As Lions, our motto is "We Serve" — and we live it through monthly eyeglass collections, veteran support, community cleanups, hunger drives, and much more.
Founded in 2019, our club has quickly grown into a dedicated force for good in San Diego, partnering with local organizations and Lions clubs across the district to amplify our impact.
As Lions, we focus on the causes that matter most — guided by the global priorities of Lions Clubs International.
Monthly collection and donation of eyeglasses, sunglasses, and cases to the SD Lions Optometric Vision Clinic. Volunteering at Vision Day events and supporting community members in need of vision care.
Caring for our planet through tree plantings, beach and canyon cleanups, recycling efforts, and pollinator gardens. As Lions, we protect the natural beauty of San Diego County and support Lions Clubs International's global environmental mission.
Fighting food insecurity through food drives, meal packing, and partnerships with local food banks and shelters. We help stock pantries and feed families across Mira Mesa and greater San Diego — answering one of the core global causes of Lions Clubs International.
Investing in the next generation through scholarships, youth camps, Leo Clubs, and the Lions Peace Poster Contest. We support local students and nurture young leaders throughout District 4L6.
Raising awareness and supporting prevention through health screenings, education, and community outreach. Lions around the world are committed to reducing the impact of diabetes and improving the lives of those affected by it.
Standing with children and families facing childhood cancer through fundraising, awareness, and support for partners like Rady Children's Hospital. Lions Clubs International has made the fight against childhood cancer a global priority.
Promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and supporting well-being across our community. As Lions, we back programs that strengthen emotional health and connect people to the care and resources they need.
Responding when disaster strikes with emergency supplies, relief funds, and hands-on recovery. Through the Lions Clubs International Foundation, Lions help communities rebuild after wildfires, floods, and other emergencies.
Serving our neighbors with compassion — from blanket and shoe drives to supporting shelters and community organizations. We live the Lions motto, "We Serve," wherever there is a need in San Diego and beyond.
