On a beautiful, but warm day, in July, during the San Diego Mayor for A Day – Environmental Project Day Mira Mesa – the San Diego Miramar Lions Club PRIDE engaged in beautifying a local community park by performing an environmental clean-up picking up trash, and collecting garbage left on the grounds throughout the park. The Pride worked for a couple of hours each and collected approximately seven (7) bags of trash during the morning event. In the collection of trash were bits and pieces of plastic, cigarette butts, and other unsavory items. The disposal of plastic and cigarette butts is always very helpful in protecting our furry family members and birds in flight. Even with the July warmth, the Lions continued their good work throughout the community park. Good job Lions – one for Mother Nature, one for all creatures of the earth.
