The newly elected San Diego Lions District 4L6 District Governor held a new Lion year (LY2022-2023) Leadership Retreat on July 9th. The Retreat was attended by approximately 60 Lions and started at 0915am. Multiple leadership topics were presented including a table-by-table Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT).  There were many topics of learning and communication and team-building activities, and the event was well organized.  It is always interesting to attend working retreats and meet with fellow lions to hear issues from a different angle or a resolution with a very different approach.  What are we doing well?  What can we do better?  It was a chance to learn from other lions and lion leaders.  Additionally, the President of the San Diego Miramar Lions Club is also a Region Chair for the District. The President/Region Chair was tasked by the District Governor to also present Region and Zone training, covering reports, deadline reporting, and event attendance.   The half-day Retreat took place on Saturday in the Bonita community area, and a light lunch was served.
