During the month of October, the San Diego Miramar Lions Club and the Rancho Bernardo Lions Club teamed up to collect glasses, lenses, cases, and hearing aids from all over the County of San Diego. Our donation for the month of October 2022 to the San Diego Lions Optometric Vision Clinic included 105 clear eyeglasses and 28 sunglasses collected by the San Diego Rancho Bernardo Lions and 338 clear glasses, 45 sunglasses, 142 cases, 107 pairs of lenses, 4 pairs of medical specialty glasses, and 1 hearing aid with batteries collected by the SD Miramar Lions Club making a total collective monthly donation of 443 clear glasses, 73 sunglasses, 142 eyeglass cases, 107 pairs of lenses, 4 pairs of medical specialty glasses, and 1 hearing aid for our community in October. Delivery this month by San Diego and Imperial Counties Lions District 4L6’s oldest Lion, Lion Betty Y, 98yrs young. Good job everyone – let’s keep ROARING and extending the gift of VISION to all!
