Dr. Garingo received a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego and her M.D. from the University of California, Davis. She completed her Pediatric internship at Loma Linda University Medical Center, her Pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital Oakland, and her Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship at the Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center.

After completing her fellowship in 2004, she joined the CHLA/USC Keck faculty. She recently completed a Master’s in Public Health at the University of Southern California. She is the Associate Medical Director of Education for the division. Her clinical interests include newborn resuscitation, newborn care in developing countries, infant nutrition, and telemedicine.
