On a beautiful, clear Sunday morning in early August, the Lions of the San Diego Miramar Lions Club paid a visit to the Julian Lions supporting their pancake fundraiser and free vision screening for the community. An all-you-can-eat breakfast included pancakes, fried sausage patties, corn beef hash, eggs, juice, hash browns, and water for the low, low price of just $12.00. The SDMLC Lions – Lion Demetrick and Lion Smitty said after the huge, hot breakfast, that it was simply “the best breakfast they had ever had – scrumptious!” After the all-you-can-eat, they did what they were best at and engaged with some Lion leadership, Jesse Cruz, President, Roger Spilman, Treasurer, and Kay Spilman, Secretary, & fellowship at the Julian lion clubhouse while other lions of the Julian PRIDE performed free vision screening for those in need. Lions Demetrick and Smitty, thank you for taking a drive up the SOCAL mountain to “represent” the SDMLC PRIDE. Good job, and thank you for ROARING with our fellow lions!
