Helping in resident kids at Rady Children’s Hospital who have a myriad of health concerns, the San Diego Miramar Lions Club contacted the hospital Donation Center to see what the Lions PRIDE could contribute to their mission keeping kids engaged while receiving treatment. Rady requested enabling devices, and the lions were able to purchase and deliver trusted products that can benefit children with special needs during treatment. These engineered creative centers are committed to creating vibrant solutions for children with disabilities. SDMLC donated two Rady Hospital selected educational learning centers, which are high cost products, along with multiple arts/crafts kits, pads, coloring books, and drawing pen sets. Our goal was to donate products that engage the imagination, build cognitive and motor skills, and help kids become comfortable as they fight their conditions while in resident at Rady Children’s Hospital.
