Masks, masks everywhere! The San Diego Miramar Lions Club, donned in masquerade attire, attended the San Diego Elite Lions Club 7th Annual Installation of Officers and Induction of New Members on October 19, 2019. The event was a lively and colorful celebration with approximately 150 Lions, Leos, cubs, family, and friends in attendance. The day long event and program included the District Governor’s address by our very own DG Lion Norm McKenzie, a lunch befitting royalty, several guest speakers, opportunity drawings, tons of raffle prizes, and awards and gift presentations. Our Master of Ceremonies was Lion President Gilmore David of the San Diego Pathfinders Lions Club.
The attendees were entertained all afternoon by several singers – a couple of the singers who have previously participated in the televised American Idol show, dancers, bands, and a runway of designer clothing worn by so many gorgeous women and men models. We closed out the afternoon with a round of song and applause as we wished San Diego Elite Lions Club President Elsa Siverts a very happy birthday – the cake was sooo delicious!
