San Diego Miramar Lions Club President Meets La Jolla Presidents Lions Club
Attending their monthly meeting provided SDMLC the chance to meet their President, Jeff Hansen, their officers, and our fellow Lions. In addition to covering the minutes and future agenda, there were two guest speakers. The first guest speaker was CJ Mody, Esq., Supervising District Attorney, Domestic Violence and Child Violence. CJ gave a short presentation on his background, and the types of cases he handles on a daily basis. The second guest speaker was Dr. Wallace Lynch, Founder and CEO, Alpha Token (ATK), and alum of Columbia University. Dr Lynch is also an expert economist, serial tech entrepreneur, and media expert. Dr. Lynch provided a powerpoint presentation on the way ahead in social media and technology. Both presentations were interesting and captured their listening audience.
San Diego Miramar Lions Club President provided an overview of the newly established branch, our current and future accomplishments, and invited the LJPLC members to join us on the upcoming 5K walk/run taking place in the first quarter of the new year, 2020. There appeared to be high interest for this event. Lion Liz indicated that she will send the flyer to the LJPLC Secretary once the event date has been solidified by the Miramar Lions survey. Suggested date for the SDMLC 5K is January 2020, second Saturday. TBD
It was really nice to meet and be greeted with such enthusiasm by all the Lions present. Many thanks to President Jeff Hansen for the introduction and positive event, and to the Lions for the special homemade treats.
