Lions District 4L6 led the November Hunger Drive by enlisting the help of Lions throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties to join in Lion fellowship packing out apples, onions, potatoes, and more in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday period. Lions from six clubs came together on a beautiful and bright Saturday afternoon to join forces and filled 20 volunteer slots at the San Diego Food Bank Miramar. At the end of a 2.5 hours shift, the lions had packed out 4000lbs of food that would feed 3,333 of our community members. It was certainly an event that warmed our hearts and allowed each of us to give back to those suffering from food insecurity, especially during the holiday season. Thank you San Diego Food Bank, and thank you fellow lions. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
