During the month of October, the San Diego Miramar Lions Club joined the MD4 California Lions Project Care: Eye Glasses Collection 2021-2022. This project is a statewide vision project that takes place the month of October during which Lions from throughout the State of California will collect and donate eyeglasses. This MD4 project helps to engage all clubs, regardless of their size, to join hands in a “state-wide” community service project.
We are happy to report that our joint efforts that included the community at large, San Diego Miramar Lions Club, and the Rancho Bernardo Lions Club collected a total of 309 pairs of glasses for this statewide community project. Our eyeglasses were then donated to the Lions Optometric Vision Clinic in downtown San Diego. Thank you everyone for your hard work and effort as we collaborated with several clubs in California to make this project a “ROARING” success.
