Happy Helpers of SDMLC Prepare 9000lbs of Food for Distribution – gobble,gobble
During the week of Thanksgiving, the Lions of the San Diego Miramar Lions Club joined forces with Sharp Hospital volunteers to donate their combined efforts at the San Diego Food Bank. The strength of their hearts to help others was evident with 13 Lions and Friends of San Diego Miramar Lions Club present to contribute packing pallet after pallet of food for distribution early the next morning.
We formed a long line around tables and got to work, quickly developing a rhythm and establishing new friendships with our Sharp Hospital teammates as the night passed. What a wonderful event helping those who are hungry and in need of food. Feeling the love and warmth of this HUNGER project, SDMLC members are committed to volunteering at the food bank in the future. Happy holidays to all –
