Our November partnership with Salvation Army “Feeding those in Need” was lead by Lion Jay Ruiz Sr. During a five hour, food pack shift, Lion Jay Sr, SDMLC Project Team Lead, partnered with other Lions Clubs, reported that our final contributions included 160 boxes which can feed 1280 people in our community. During a time when many locals have lost their jobs and means of support, these groceries will help them immensely during the holidays. The Salvation Army will distribute these boxes to the homeless and low income families in the Escondido area. How wonderful that the Salvation Army has offered up these donated supplies to help feed so many who need the help so desperately, and to the many Lions who stood ready to help make it happen…happy holidays!
