The San Diego Miramar Lions Club participated in the District 4L6 Heart of Gold Run/Walk for Childhood Cancer in September. The event took place in Mira Mesa at the local park with several walk/run paths mapped out from “easy” to “hard.” Everyone had the opportunity to participate at different levels of distance. Lions arrived early setting up their tarps and tables offering needed shade during the unusual San Diego heat wave taking place that week. In true lion fellowship, everyone shared their “shade,” and their food with all in attendance. So heartwarming and for such a good cause…the SDMLC PRIDE was so glad to be able to participate in District 4L6 “HEART OF GOLD” Run/Walk for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
