On a beautiful Saturday afternoon in sunny San Diego, a Diabetes Fundraiser was held by the PRIDE of the SDMLC on September 24, 2022. To help fight diabetes and ensure community engagement, a garden cocktail party was held under the shade of 25 trees that lined the length of the garden. Cocktails and more started at 4:00 pm with an advertised end time of 6:00 pm, but everyone was having such a good time, our last supporter left after 8:30 pm – a testament to good times!
The guest speaker on the topic of diabetes was “CC” from the Diabetes Research Connection, Del Mar, CA with a Q&A session that followed his presentation. Our special thanks to the many lions’ clubs who supported us from afar due to other Lion events happening around San Diego County that same day.
