SDMLC reaches out in support of the local San Diego Foodbank Senior Program with the donation of two cases of ENSURE PLUS drinks. ENSURE drinks promote increased health benefits overall for senior citizens. ENSURE PLUS provides concentrated calories and protein to help senior patients gain or maintain healthy weight. It can benefit seniors who have malnutrition, are at nutritional risk, or are experiencing involuntary weight loss. Due to the cost of the drink (single case is approximately $55), seniors, often times, are unable to purchase it even with the noted health benefits. The San Diego Miramar Lions Club donated two (2) cases for distribution within the SD Foodbank Senior Program.
