During the month of March 2021, the San Diego Miramar Lions donated funding to the local efforts of diabetes research. The organization, Diabetes Research Connection, located in Del Mar, CA, has a mission of “…connecting donors with early-career scientists enabling them to perform peer-reviewed, novel research designed to prevent and cure Type 1 diabetes, minimize its complications and improve the quality of life for those living with the disease (https://diabetesresearchconnection.org/about-us/).
One of the five goals established by our parent organization, Lions Club International, is DIABETES. The San Diego Miramar Lions Club is pleased to be able to help advance research for this worthy cause.
