District 4L6 District Governor received a friendly Food Donation challenge between San Diego Lions and the San Diego Rotary membership on which non-profit community club can donate the most food and or money to the local food bank. The lions of the San Diego Miramar Lions Club contributed to this challenge by donating two cases of Costco Belvita blueberry cookies, one case of Green Giant canned green beans, one case of Del Monte canned tangerines, and one case of canned peaches to the Lions/Rotary food challenge on November 19th for a donation amount of $115.00. Donation items were presented to District Hunger Chair Lion Paul Lacuesta on Saturday, November 19th, for dissemination and delivery for the overall challenge. This challenge will be completed on 30 November and we’ll find out which club is the “mostest” for this important community challenge taking place during the holiday pack-out period.
