Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way – The District 4L6 Holiday party was held on Sunday, December 19th, at the beautiful Royal Banquet Hall located on Miramar Road.  The holiday party was full of Lion camaraderie, laughter, food, and entertainment.  The program had two Emcees that included 1st VDG Jay Ruiz and Lion Jez Cody.  We began our lunch/afternoon with the Lion Protocol, and later shared multiple performances by talented singers, musicians, dancers, and more.  Lions had the privilege of sharing a Lion dance performance by one of our very own local clubs, the San Diego Forever Club, which included nine Hawaiian dancers.  Some of our professional entertainers include Gary Stokes, Melanie Jimenez, Josh Olitoquit, Jez Cody, and Marivic Paulino.   A portion of the holiday program included all attending Lions participating on the dance floor for a group “Line Dance.”  So much fun, so much laughter, so many smiles.   The theme this year including honoring our “EVERYDAY HEROS” that included first responders in all categories including our military.  A holiday party would not be complete without experiencing a “speed raffle,” opportunity drawing, and thank you holiday gifts presented by District Governor Jennifer to her hardworking 4L6 Cabinet.
It was great to see the San Diego Miramar Lions Club fill up a whole table and then overflow to a few other locations.  Smiling cat face with open mouthGrinning cat face with smiling eyes  The holiday buffet was generous, and many were seen going back for “seconds.”  Always a nice, filling buffet at the Royal Banquet with the surprise of Christmas cake dessert awaiting our pallets after lunch.  Happy holidays everyone!  Hope we’ll continue the tradition next year!  Wishing everyone a safe, healthy, and prosperous New Year in 2022 – let’s get ready to ROAR together!
