The SDMLC collects and recycles eyeglasses every month, and donates them to the San Diego Optometric Vision Clinic in downtown San Diego. This month was a very small collection, but the clinic is hurting for supplies, office items, and funding. We are doing what we can to help in every way. This month, we donated a single box of glasses, but the clinic was very appreciative. Giving the gift of vision to those who cannot afford it warms our “Lion hearts.”
Let’s continue to clean out those drawers, desks at work, and any where else we store our old glasses. Remember, donating glasses gives the gift of vision and recycling helps the burden on Mother Nature.
