The lions of the SDMLC completed their monthly calls, collection, and donation of glasses, sunglasses, and lenses to donate to the San Diego Lions Optometric Vision Clinic located in downtown San Diego. 305 pairs of glasses and 120 eyeglass cases were collected from our local libraries, Costco, senior care homes in University City, and senior care homes in the city of La Jolla for a total donation of 425 pairs of reusable eyewear. Thank you to everyone who helps with extending the gift of vision, but also helps our environment with the recycling of plastic, glass, and more. Repurposing glasses help our environment recycling efforts as well as our community who are in need of glasses!
