With organizations all around San Diego pitching in, the PRIDE of the San Diego Miramar Lions Club was able to collect several boxes in and around the County during the month of March. Special thanks to the San Diego Public Library in University City on Governor Drive and the head of Operations there, Melissa Martin. COSTCO Poway was also a great partner this month saving a huge box of donated glasses for us to collect and count. Thank you also to the La Jolla Presbyterian Church which generously helps recycle cartridges and glasses every single month. Our monthly partnership with the San Diego Rancho Bernardo Lions Club is also very rewarding. All of these donations help our environment, help those individuals who need eyewear and services, and help the Lions fulfill their VISION mission as requested by LCI. Thank you everyone for helping us, help others! During the month of March, we collected a total of 736 eyeglasses and 161 cases all totaling 897 pieces for donation to the San Diego Lions Optometric Center, downtown San Diego.
