The San Diego Veterans Village (SDVV) mission is to serve America’s veterans in overcoming homelessness and related challenges. VVSD has served all veterans since 1981 and is dedicated to “Leave No One Behind.” With five locations throughout San Diego County, VVSD is the only program of its kind in the United States and is nationally recognized as the leader in serving homeless military veterans. Each year VVSD provides services to more than 3,000 military veterans throughout the County of San Diego (https://vvsd.net/).
Seeing a need for shower shoes in support of these homeless military veterans, two local Lions Clubs, San Diego Miramar Lions Club and the La Jolla Presidents Lions Club, teamed up to donate 100 pairs of shower shoes to the SDVV during June 2020. It was a small way to help our military veterans who have proudly served their country with honor. Thank you SDVV for letting us contribute to your mission and to the La Jolla Presidents Lions Club leadership for inviting us to join you on this project!
