The SDMLC PRIDE purchased new and or donated blankets, that were then washed and cleaned for donation, as appropriate. A total of 42 new and gently used blankets were purchased/donated and filled nine large plastic 40-gal trash bags over the course of two months. Blankets were delivered to the San Diego ALPHA PROJECT – Serving the Homeless in downtown San Diego. For those readers who may not have heard of Alpha Project, their mission “… is to empower individuals, families, and communities by providing work, recovery, housing, and support services to people who are motivated to change their lives and achieve self-sufficiency…”. Our very own Lion Tommy H delivered blankets to Alpha Project (Barrio Logan).
